Our Mission:
Rwanda is making bold investments in clean energy to reduce its reliance on biomass (like firewood and charcoal), which has long been a major cause of deforestation and indoor air pollution. Intwari Foundation proudly supports this transition by:
- Promoting Solar Energy: We distribute solar kits to off-grid homes and schools, providing safe, reliable, and affordable electricity.
- Encouraging Clean Cooking Solutions: We advocate for and help distribute improved cookstoves and biogas systems that reduce the need for firewood, protecting forests and improving respiratory health.
- Empowering Households: By adopting clean energy, families spend less time gathering fuel and more time on education, farming, and entrepreneurship.
